This Bacalao al bras, dorado or bacalao al douro, is a typical Portuguese dish, very simple to prepare and very tasty to taste. Cod is a white fish, therefore it is low in fat. It has a high contribution in vitamins and minerals, as well as a high sodium content.
The Portuguese prepare cod with straw-cut potatoes, onion and eggs. The combination is spectacular on the palate. Your children can help you in the preparation of this dish and in the end ... they will eat it all!
- 400 g of desalinated cod in crumbs
- 4 potatoes.
- 1 onion
- Olive oil
- Salt.
- 6 eggs
- Parsley
1. Cut the 4 potatoes into straw shapes and fry them in plenty of olive oil. When they are ready, put them aside and reserve them.
2. Cut the onion into strips and add it to the same pan but leaving only a base of oil and lowering the heat. When it is tender, add the cod and turn it over while the water it releases evaporates.
3. Beat the eggs and add them to the cod with the onion in the pan. When the egg is setting, add the potatoes and stir everything well.
4. You just need to plate it and add a little chopped parsley.
5. Serve the Cod grilled with lettuce and tomato salad.
